Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses,
let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles.
And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,
fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. - Hebrews 12:1-2
The Lord has spoken to me today through trekking. I was terribly upset by what had been happening at work and at home. But today, He has renewed my soul.
The whole journey makes me reflect upon my journey at work. It has been a tough time between me and st_dents and there're issues within the department. I felt tired and wanna give up. It was just like how we were 100meters away from treetop walk (the suspended bridge). Worst, Agl brought us to the wrong way. I was like #$%^&*(. We walked about 2k more. Just like at work, there were alot of detours too. In both situation, I was about to give up and thought, "aiya.. just let things be this way lah. What's the big deal?" Alot of times, I felt like what the hell? LOL.. Not to forget to mention, the weather was super SUPER dramatic. The sky was filled with dark clouds, loud thunders roared. How could we continue trekking? Somehow, my dearest CGL pushed us to continue. She said we have to do the suspended bridge! Strange enough, we were the last to reach the suspended bridge. We finished walking it and it didn't rain!
Highlight of the trek: At the end, we were all dead tired. After the bridge, we still need to walk another 2k to go back to the main road. I was like $%^&*(. A Jaguar drove past, and I just rose my heavy hand. AND surprisingly, the Jaguar picked us up and sent us to the nearest bus stop! OMG. What a great Samaritan!
Thank God that agl push me to persevere and finish the trail. The reward was the Jaguar ride. ha!!! It stroke a cord to me that Lord puts me here in SA for an unknowing reason, but I just have to persevere and continue the race. And God will reward me in His time.
Dear Lord, you have taught me alot today. More than I can imagine. Thank you for renewing my strength, helping me to see the importance of fixing my eye on You.
