Term 3 week 1, staff prayer meeting
As the former pastor shared about how he and his wife cope with taking care his old dementia mother, tears welled in my eyes. He said his mother thought that the nurses in the hospital had no money, and asked the son to give 30bucks to her. And she thought that the nurses who were pushing the trolley are selling dim sum. Ha!! It sounded as sad as it could be, but he said those nurses will play along and made the mother happy.
His sharing gave me hope and strength. He said, "always find a reason to give thanks."
It is indeed true. That my mum is having slight dementia, with diabetes, high blood pressure. As usual, she will be stubborn and having schizophrenia. It cannot be improved in any ways. The past hurts had left her crippled mentally. But I must find reasons to give thanks. Perhaps,
I am thankful that she can still wash my clothes, iron them and cook "edible" dinner.
Always find reasons to give thanks.
Friday was tired. I did not have the stamina at all. But thankful that Fri was half day, I got to go out of school and buy X Siu rice. Davy from my class was funny. Caught him eating at the corridor again. And Because I was so hungry, the thought of confiscating his sandwich came to my mind. Lol.. How could I! Hahaha...
