It has been a long time since I had such good food, good company and great outing. After being sick for 2 weeks, I was thinking probably my health will not let me step out of house again. Well, thankful and thank God, I managed to bring Mao Mao for grooming at Pasar Bella. Not only the cat gets to bath, I got to eat great food and had a great time chatting with Ping Ping.
Life has been very different for us. She wants to find a partner and settles down. For me, I am struggling to make a living every other day. We no longer served like crazy in church. Of coz, this topic has always been debatable. Coming from a conservative church, not serving actively will probably got me stoned to dealth. lol.. But serving has a whole new meaning to me now. Nothing is happier for me, to see mum so happy with our little black cat, nothing is of greater joy than to pray for my students and sometimes their parents. God has put these people in my life to serve them Getting a cat is probably the biggest decision these days, but it was definitely a correct decision. I have NEVER EVER seen my mum so happy before. And being able to pray for my students, is also the greatest joy! How many tea_hers can actually hold a mini-prayer meeting in school, with the support of the parents? It was a God-given privilege!
I like today's devotion:
Could we with ink the ocean fill,
And were the skies of parchment made,
Were every stalk on earth a quill,
And every man a scribe by trade;
To write the love of God above
Would drain the ocean dry;
Nor could the scroll contain the whole
Though stretched from sky to sky.
These words are part of an ancient Jewish poem and were once found on the wall of a patient’s room in an insane asylum.
Also, Frederick M. Lehman was so moved by the poem that he desired to expand on it. In 1917, while seated on a lemon box during his lunch break from his job as a laborer, he added the words of the first two stanzas and the chorus, completing the song “The Love of God.”
Thank you Lord for everything! =)
On a side note, this is really funny!
Met a 10yr old boy at the groomer's place when I picked up Mao Mao after his grooming. The boy exclaimed, "oh such a cute cat! But black cat brings bad luck!" I replied, "Hello. *smile* ya my cat is super cute. Oh black cat brings good luck! With this cat, all my students did so well for their PSLE! " The boy's eyes grew wide! LOL~
