My boys always say "Not
fair! Tang lao shi is not fair!" I never had an answer for these little
ones. I always tell them, "This is true. Life is unfair."
This verse has been in my mind
lately when I prayed.
"He causes his sun to
rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the
unrighteous." Matt 5:45
I learnt a point from
this. 在人的眼中，这的确是不公平，但在上帝的眼中，所谓的义人如果没有敬拜他，这和不义的人有什么分别？这可是同样悲哀。因此，上帝还是会把雨降在不义的人身上。
最近，我有别的想法。Yes life is never fair
in our eyes. But it is the unfair paths which give people we love a second chance.
Sometimes, it is us who need the second chance. I will be very sad if God takes
away my brother's life. 我希望他受到惩罚，同时，我也希望上帝是怜悯的，留他一条出路，好让他有悔改的一天。
This, is the most haunting yet
beautiful irony in life.
Life is unfair.
