Week 0

Because of the awkward calendar this year, we called the first wek of s*hool with week 0 instead of week1. So next week is week 1.

1st day of s*hool has never been so so bad for me. Not only I was very sick with a manly voice, it was my first day of mensus, and worst, I was drenched in the rain. It was terrible. Everyone from JC to Sec to Pri level was gathered in the field for Start of Term Service. After everyone gathered, it started drizzling, then rained with huge droplets. We were all drenched. I was even more sick on the second day of sxhool. Yesterday, 3rd day of sxhool, I was drenched in the rain again when going home. So today, Sat, I was very sick again. Stupid endless cycle... It is terrible. I wanted to work badly, give my 101% as usual, but my machine is just not working.

Western medicine is finished. Now, I am boiling Chinese herbs like an old woman. tsk tsk tsk...

Yesterday (Friday), after school, everyone was tired. Then I went to this sharing of my Vice Princ*pal called "The journey of faith". He shared about how God called him to leave M*E and stepped into the Pris*n ministy. It was very real, and humble of him to share his struggles throughout this journal. He was led by God to tender from M*E, but without telling him what he can work as afterward. VP quoted from the Dark Knight Rises: in this batman movie, the young police officer decided to threw away his police batch and follow batman. Afterward, when he entered the batman cave, batman reveal the Robin suit to him. It was really a journal of faith and God challenged him to share with the whole school this journey. The VP shared his story with all the staffs around and he cried in front of all of us when he shared. How humble and faithful can a man be, to share his story in front of his own subordinates? He told us, that God wanted him to share this, because he wants the staffs here to let others see God. The culture here is so cold and harsh, Christians are not behaving like Christians. How can people see God when Christians dont even behave like one.

He quoted from a few books, such as Spiritual Directions from Henri Nouwen, 7 callings of Christians and Just walk across the room. He also quoted many bible verses. One of the phrases which he said and touched me was "Learn to live life with questions, not answers".

And so this marked my first week of work. Opps. Week 0.
